Nemo's Rebuilt Nautilus by Tom Martin

recall the end of Disney's 1954 20,000 Leagues under the Sea?
Ned Land has revealed the location of Vulcania, Nemo's secret base,
forcing Nemo to destroy it. He is fatally injured leaving the
base, and through a
pact agreed when they escaped from the prison island together, the crew
and the Nautilus are all to die.
What if this was a ruse to escape, not only from the attackers, but also from the pesky prisoner-guests who brought about the destruction? Tommie Martin imagines a third Nautilus design, the result of Nemo's repairs, the first design being Harper Goff's original maquette and the second the familiar movie Nautilus. |
